About the Author
Margaret Wellman Jaenke is a fifth-generation member of three intertwined pioneer families who settled in Garner Valley and Anza. She has spent most of her life collecting family and local history and has written three books about the area, In the Olden Days, Looking Back: Anza and Garner Valley, and In the Olden Days Revisited. These books would not have been possible without the dedication and countless hours contributed by Tony Mauricio and the staff and volunteers of the Hamilton Museum.
